Bruneian college held Al-Quran memorization competition

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, July 29 (Xinhua) — An Al-Quran memorization and interpretation competition was organized by the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) in Brunei, local daily Borneo Bulletin reported on Monday.
The competition was held recently in conjunction with the celebrations of the 78th birthday of Brunei’s Sultan, and nine participants from KUPU SB took part in the event, according to the Borneo Bulletin.
Brunei is an oil-rich country located in the northern part of the Borneo island, with about 450,000 residents and a high level of social welfare. ■
